Southern Connection

Kevin Dowling recently won an Olympus PEN E-PL1, $5,000, and the chance to have his short film be viewed by thousands at the U.S. Open in New York City. Kevin traveled to New York (making a few special stops along the way) with Montre Livingston, Robert Guerrero, and Phillip Gripper, met up with Franco Cammayo, Billy O’Neil, and Jeremy Stephenson and shot his entry for the contest. It turned out to be quite a mini skate video and worked well as a short doc into the lives of rollerbladers without being overbearing or pushing too much information on the audience for possibly their first view of rollerblading ever or in some years.
